About Me

Passionate About Inspiring Others

Honorably serving in the United States Navy, I gained a solid foundation that would bring me to serve my fellow veteran community after the uniform.  Taking on employment after the military in the federal government as a Human Resource Specialist, I have incorporated my 20 years of personal, professional and educational expertise with the career services I provide to the veteran community. My expertise spans across the healthcare, industrial, aircraft and forestry organizations within the federal government. The ability to participate in hiring panels, I rated and ranked applications & resumes for several vacancies. The educational and practical experience gained in the staffing/recruitment realm gave me the jump start needed to find my purpose in educating military members and veterans with their career transition phase from the military.

Career planning services occur in a variety of options, such as, individual consultations, webinars, Instagram and Facebook Live sessions, federal government and private sector resume development, researching interview strategies, creating job search strategies, LinkedIn profile development and any other requested service. My goal is to teach those who are leaving the military, or those who have already done so, how to market themselves with tailored resumes without using military jargon and showcase their abilities during their interviews. I strive to encourage, uplift, and motivate each client to reach their level of career satisfaction and success.

My high is in-person interactions - that’s the only way I get the whole-person concept. My love for in-person interactions has produced keynote speaking opportunities provided for Active Veterans with Answers and Vet Girls Rock in partnership with the Hampton Roads Veterans Employment Center Norfolk, VA and motivational keynote for Leizure Vets Atlanta, GA. Participating as panel member for M.Y. Life Coach Experience Teen Queen Seminar Newport News, VA, Boss Babes Brunch Montgomery, AL Tour stop and The Year of the Female Boss Women’s Expo and Conference 2019 Norfolk, VA; and podcast guest for On Point with Chenika Bell. Facilitating resume development workshops for veterans, the general public, and high school seniors provides me the opportunity to learn from a variety of backgrounds and tailor my expertise to fit multiple needs.  Don't worry, my virtual clients receive the same love as my in-person clients!
